At Home Federal Credit Union, we’re dedicated to providing a welcoming and professional banking experience to our well-deserving members. To further support your financial needs into the future, we will convert our core data processing system to a new and improved platform effective June 2nd, 2022.

This system upgrade is an important technological advancement for the credit union and for you as it promises improved security, enhanced services and greater banking convenience. Upgrading to a newer technology provides us with a stronger, more reliable and more efficient system today as well as the ability to improve into the future with more capable applications, better information security and a highly efficient disaster response capability. In the upcoming months, you will have access to several new products and services: Virtual Banking (a new online banking product), Zelle (a person to person payment option), Phone Banking (perform a range of financial transactions and gather balances & transactions over the phone) and Mobile Deposit (take a photo of your check to deposit).

Please know our leadership and staff are committed to making this conversion a smooth and easy process for all. Our entire organization has spent many months planning for this change.

Home FCU 2022 Core Conversion System Upgrade Schedule & How to Plan Ahead

SYSTEM UPGRADE SCHEDULE HOW TO PLAN AHEAD

THURSDAY, May 26th

  • Last day to order debit cards, make PIN change requests or perform other card maintenance until the new system is live at 3 PM on June 2nd.



  • If you know your debit card is lost or damaged, please notify us immediately so the old card can be deactivated and a new card issued. Delays in ordering will create delays in receiving the cards and resetting PIN numbers.

MONDAY, MAY 30th

  • CLOSED FOR MEMORIAL DAY
  • Mobile Banking temporarily disabled

TUESDAY, MAY 31st

  • NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS
  • Last statement processed on the current system.
  • Online Banking as well as Bill Pay will be unavailable after 4PM.
  • Debit cards move to offline processing.



  • Please complete all cash withdrawals, online banking transactions, mobile transactions and account transfers prior to 4PM on Tuesday, May 31st. If you need to schedule bill payments you will also need to do so prior to 4PM. Anything scheduled to be paid prior to close of business (4PM) on this day will process.
  • Paper statements will be produced for all members including those that receive electronic statements for the month of May.
  • Active bill payees and recurring payments will transfer to the new online banking platform. However, it is advised to print hard copy of existing payees for future reference.
  • While debit cards are in offline processing, you will be able to make purchases, but those will be accepted or declined according to industry stand-in limits which may be different than actual account balances. To avoid any NSF (Non Sufficient Funds) fees, please make sure you have an accurate balance by 4PM and keep a register of any transactions made.
  • Although debit card access will be available, it is advised to keep extra cash on hand or consider using a major credit card for larger purchases.

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 1st

  • CLOSED FOR SYSTEM CONVERSION. No system available.



  • Credit Union and electronic banking systems will be closed. Any business that cannot wait to be handled after June 1st must be completed before close of business on Wednesday, June 1st.

THURSDAY, JUNE 2nd

  • SHORTENED HOURS. We will reopen on the new system from 3PM-5PM on Thursday, June 2nd.
  • Mobile Banking, Online Banking and Bill Pay will remain temporarily down.
  • Debit cards return to normal processing at 3PM.



  • Please be patient with us as we navigate the new system.

FRIDAY, JUNE 3rd

  • NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS
  • Mobile Banking, Online Banking and Bill Pay will come back online operating on the new system.



  • Members with Online Banking or Bill Pay are advised to login to the new system to verify account balances, active Bill Pay Payees, recurring transactions and to familiarize yourselves with new system navigation. Log in credentials will not convert to the new system. See below under “Important Login Changes Effective June 2nd” for step by step instructions to login to your account.
  • All Online Banking users with scheduled transfers are reminded to reset up your transfers.

IMPORTANT ONLINE BANKING CHANGES EFFECTIVE JUNE 3rd

To log in for the first time please use the following:

>LOGON ID is your Primary Member Number.

  • Your Logon ID must contain at least 6 digits.
  • If your Member Number is less than 6 digits, you must enter with leading zeroes to make it 6 digits.

Example:
Member Number 12345 must be entered as 012345
Member Number 1234 must be entered as 001234

>SECURITY CODE (Password) is the last 4 digits of the Primary Account Holder’s SSN

Example:
9876

  • You will be prompted to change your Logon ID and Security Code
  • Once these are changed, you will use your NEW Logon ID and Security Code the next time you log on to Online Banking.

ADDITIONAL CHANGES

Previous e-statements WILL NOT be available on the new Online Banking platform. A paper statement will be issued for the month of May and will be mailed the 1st week of June. The first e-statement available through Online Banking will be your June statement. We advise you to print or save your history and last few statements from Online Banking prior to the conversion for reference.

Due to system conversion, dividends for April posted May 1st. May dividends will post May 31st. June dividends will post July 1st.

Account suffixes will change:

  • Share Draft (Checking) goes from 10 to 75
  • Share (Savings) goes from 00 to 01
  • Subsavings goes from 01 to 02
  • Penny Pincher goes from 02 to 12

WHAT WILL NOT CHANGE

Current certificate and loan terms, as well as any payment due dates will remain the same.

  • Checks, debit cards and credit cards will not need to be updated.
  • Debit and credit card numbers will remain the same including Debit Card Personal Identification Numbers (PINs).
  • Member account numbers will remain the same, so any direct deposits should not need to be updated.

Q: Why is Home Federal Credit Union making this change?

Q: When will the credit union be closed?
A: We will be CLOSED on Monday, May 30th for the Memorial Day holiday. We will then be operating with normal business hours on Tuesday May 31st. The credit union will be CLOSED on Wednesday, June 1st & operating from 3PM-5PM on Thursday, June 2nd for the conversion. We will be operating with normal business hours on Friday, June 3rd.

Q: Is the credit union merging with someone else?
A: No, Home FCU is not merging with another credit union. This is simply a core system upgrade.

Q: When will the changes take place?
A: We will onboard the new system effective Wednesday, June 1st. Because of the complex nature of the transition, our offices will be closed on Wednesday, June 1st and until 3PM on Thursday, June 2nd.

Q: Will I be able to access my money and/or accounts during the June 1st closure?
A: Yes, you can access your funds by using your debit cards for purchases or at an ATM.

Q: Are accounts safe and secure? How safe is this transition?
A: Yes, accounts and personal information are secure. The safety and security of our members’ accounts and their personal information is always priority one for Home FCU. The new system uses the latest advances in data security. In addition, your funds are insured by the National Credit Union Administration per individual up to $250,000.

Q: Will my personal information be safe and secure?
A: Yes, we will continue to maintain the industry best practices and keep member security top of mind throughout the conversion. Member privacy and security are our priority during the transition, and the new system will provide even more safeguards to protect sensitive information. For peace of mind, we encourage you to review statements before, during and after conversion to ensure accounts are as they should be.

Q: Will account numbers change?
A: No, account numbers will not change. However, account suffixes will change: Share Draft (Checking) goes from 10 to 75, Share (Savings) goes from 00 to 01, Subsavings goes from 01 to 02 and Penny Pincher goes from 02 to 12.

Q: Will Direct Deposit/ACH/Payroll Deductions be affected?
A: Deposits will go in in the morning and will come out that evening. You might see a delay when deductions come out. For example: You make a deposit in the morning, but the deduction won’t be taken out until that evening.

Q: Will I need to order new checks?
A: No, the check information will remain the same.

Q: Will I be issued a new debit or credit card and PIN?
A: No, all debit and credit cards and their PINs will remain the same. Cards may be used throughout the transition without interruption. Do keep in mind, debit cards move to offline processing at 4PM on May 31st until the new system goes live on June 2nd. During this time, new transactions will be delayed in posting to your account. Large purchases could be denied while in offline processing due to the use of stand-in limits while the system is down. Please remember to balance your account prior to conversion and keep a register to avoid overdrafts.

Q: Will e-statements be transferred to the new system?
A: E-statements will not transfer. You should make sure to download and save the previous months’ e-statements for reference prior to close of business on May 31st by 4PM. May statements will be available in early June and will be mailed to all members, including those enrolled in e-statements. The first e-statement will be made available in early July.

Q: Will statements remain the same?
A: All members, regardless of whether they are enrolled in e-statements, will receive a paper statement for the month of May. Following this, e-statement enrollees will begin receiving e-statements again.

Q: Will Online Banking User IDs and passwords change?
A: Yes. Q: Will Bill Pay be affected by the conversion?
A: Active Bill Payees and recurring payments will transfer to the new Bill Pay platform. However, you should consider printing a copy of payees for future reference.

Q: What should be expected prior to the conversion?
A: Converting to a new core technology will enable Home FCU to operate more efficiently as well as provide members with new functionality and benefits but expect some service interruptions. Mobile Banking will be temporarily disabled on Monday, May 30th—Friday, June 3rd. Online banking will be unavailable from 4PM on Tuesday, May 31st—Friday, June 2nd. Cards may be used throughout the transition without interruption. Do keep in mind, debit cards move to offline processing at 4PM on May 31st until the new system goes live on June 2nd. During this time, new transactions will be delayed in posting to your account. Large purchases could be denied while in offline processing due to the use of stand-in limits while the system is down. Please remember to balance your account prior to conversion and keep a register to avoid overdrafts. It is recommended to withdraw cash on or before May 31st or have access to alternate forms of payment such as major credit cards, cash and checks during the days impacted by the conversion. Additionally, keep in mind that we will be CLOSED on Monday, May 30th (Memorial Day Holiday), CLOSED on Wednesday, June 1st and will have shortened hours, from 3-5PM, on Thursday, June 2nd to convert and implement our new upgraded system.
